Is there a difference in performance between the Atomic regulators?
- The performance is the same for all regulators. The differences are in the materials and features.
What do I do for service if I am away from home and not close to my local dealer?
- The first step is to check our dealer list on this website or call us directly at (714) 375-1433 to see if there is a dealer in your area. If not, you can always send the regulator directly to us. These regulators were specifically designed to be reliable and reduce the possibility difficulties during a dive trip.
Why Titanium over Brass?
- Titanium is a metal that cannot corrode; whereas the Brass (with Chrome Plating) is resistant to corrosion, but both the plating and base material can corrode if exposed to salt water. The Titanium is also half the weight of Brass.
Can I use your 1st Stage or 2nd Stage with other regulator systems?
- Yes, as long as the regulators operate at 125-145 PSI, which the most do.
Does Atomic Aquatics sell an octopus? All Atomic regulators can be purchased as a second only. The B2, Z2 and Ti2 come with yellow covers and 36" LP hoses. We also have our SS1 Safe Second inflator
-
What colors do the regulators come in?
The T2, ST1 and M1 come in gray. The B2 and Z2 come in gray, blue or yellow
Do all models have the same warranty and service interval?
- All of the models do have the same warranty 2-Year-300 dive service interval. We also recommend a safety check by the dealer once a year for all models to check for any obvious problems.
What if I forget to have my regulator serviced at the one or two year interval? Do I lose my warranty?
- No, your warranty is valid as long as you own your regulator.
Can I e-mail my warranty information to Atomic Aquatics?
- Yes. We keep all of warranty cards on file, whether sent in by regular or electronic mail. See the on-line registration section of our website.
If I purchase a used Atomic Aquatics regulator can I get the warranty transferred to me or can I purchase a new warranty.
- No, the warranty is non-transferable, and only the original owner is eligible for a lifetime warranty.
Can I purchase an ATOMIC AQUATICS regulator with a "Din" fitting?
- Any of the regulators may be purchased with either a yoke or a 300 Bar DIN fitting.
I have an Atomic Aquatics yoke regulator now, can it be converted to DIN?
- Yes, but it requires professional disassembly and a change of parts. You can order a parts conversion kit from your dealer that will allow him to change the regulator from yoke to DIN. It is a semi-permanent conversion that is it is not something you can change yourself.
What about adapters to change between DIN and yoke.
- If you have a DIN regulator, you can purchase a spin-on adapter that will allow you to use your DIN regulator on a yoke tank valve. You cannot use an adapter to go from yoke to DIN however.
What about Nitrox?
These regulators have been assembled, cleaned and made compatible for enriched air Nitrox (EAN) to a maximum of 40% oxygen concentration at a maximum pressure of 3500 psi. They do not require additional cleaning or servicing
IF THE REGULATOR BECOMES GROSSLY CONTAMINATED WITH DIRT, OILS OR GREASES FROM ANY SOURCE, HAVE THE REGULATOR RE-CLEANED BEFORE USING IT AGAIN WITH EAN, DO NOT USE SILICONE OR HYDROCARBON GREASES IN OR AROUND REGULATORS BEING USED FOR EAN NITROX OR OXYGEN MIXES. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES USE THESE REGULATORS WITH PURE OXYGEN OR ANY GAS MIXTURE EXCEEDING 40% OXYGEN (EXCEPT THE M1). FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THE ABOVE WARNINGS COULD CAUSE SERIOUS PERSONAL INJURY OR DEATH FROM FIRE OR EXPLOSION.
NITROX T2 ONLY
At the time of purchase, you must decide if this regulator is to be used with Nitrox (EAN) or standard compressed air. If you choose to use EAN this regulator must be dedicated for EAN USE ONLY and designated with marking consistent with industry standardss for EAN.
DO NOT switch between EAN and compressed air unless it meets the more strigent purity standards for oxygen compatible air (OCA) as defined by ANDI/IANTD.
Standard compressed air may contain traces of hydrocarbons, which could contanimate the regulator system with potentially flamable residues incompatible with EAN. If you use or test this regulator with standard compresses air it must be cleaned before use with EAN
